Keep a moment forever
I was originally going to do nature this week but the day I planned on going out and shooting, it was raining and I had to babysit unexpectedly. Kids not wanting to go on a nature walk in the mud didn't work out for nature. I ended up going around my house and trying to get some aesthetically pleasing pictures of things close up. I really didn't edit this one much besides cropping it a little. I really liked the way it looks without adding anything to it.

In this assignment, we were given the task of editing a picture of a car to look like a demo image that we were provided. I learned many new photoshop techniques that I ended up using in this weeks editing process of the shooting assignment.
For this shoot, I had a lot of problems. Getting three dogs to work with me really was a challenge, especially when one has more energy than a power plant. There was also the challenge of trying to make sure they didn't eat the halloween decorations as I took pictures. I had to get my mom out there with me with treats so they would actually look a certain way and stay still. If I'm going to take pictures of animals again, I'll make sure they are at least a little more tired out so they stop running around and fighting with each other. I didn't do much editing of this photo but I did turn up the contrast a bit and turn down the highlights so the markings above my dog's nose could be seen better.
In this assignment, I met up with a couple of friends at Milpond park since we all needed photos for each of our digital photography classes. We all ended up getting some pretty good shots but it was warmer than expected and we were all dying by the end. For the best photo, my friend Lindsey climbed down and while she was getting her picture, I got one of her. I didn't do too much to edit this photo. I pretty much just cropped it a bit to get the grid to make rule of thirds work better.
In this assignment, we took a picture of someone in the room, or a picture anyone in general, and made it into a pop art picture. I used a picture of my friend TJ that I took a really quickly just for this so it's not exactly the best. This is my first time ever using photoshop so I'm pretty happy with how it turned out personally.

Hello! My name is Gabriel Walkowiak and I am a digital photography student. I enjoy reading, writing, and acting quite a bit. I'm a sophomore in high school and very thankful to no longer be a freshman. I took this class so I could learn more about photography since I have basically no prior experience. I took a multimedia class in middle school but I barely remember anything from that besides working on the yearbook. Hopefully I will learn a lot this trimester!
